The why behind this work...

Three years ago, I launched the creative project of my dreams, the Soul Salon Podcast. This work and the soul-aligned audience it has called in feels so delicious to me I could cry. I have built a soulful audience of over 500,000 people across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Substack, and my newsletter.

(Just last month, I was listening to “All of Me” by John Legend and was joyfully WEEPING thinking about my love and devotion for my podcast, where it’s been, and where it’s going…yes, Cancer♋ over here) 

But it wasn’t always this way.

Rewind just 3 years & I was riddled with self-doubt. My inner critic was LOUD: Who am I to start a podcast? What if I get cancelled? What if it’s never good enough? I have such big dreams for where I want this to go… what if it’s too much to handle? What if someone takes a clip from my podcast & drags me for it on TikTok and the humiliation is too much to bear? Isn’t it easier to just not try? 

Throughout this journey, my best friend Alex (SoulCraft Community Manager) and I have been supporting and cheering for each other's creative dreams. We have been holding space for each other's big, delulu dreams as though they're the most obvious thing ever.

We thought — what if we could facilitate more of the kind of community and connection we have found in each other?

Over the past 4+ years of sharing ourselves on and offline, showing up invisibly and visibly, we have both faced sooooo many types of creative fear. The fear of being seen and judged, the fear of not being good enough, the fear of not being capable of doing the work our dreams called on us to do, business-related fears, perfectionism, comparison, envy, jealousy — you name it, we've felt it.
